University of Brighton (Department of Pharmacy)

The School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences is one of the UK's leading University departments for pharmacy, biology, chemistry and biomedical education.
Scoring 'excellent' ratings for teaching quality (23/24) when assessed by QAA, and an institution-wide audit. In addition, the School's research was shown to be of international standing in the Research Assessment Exercise (5 rated), with Brighton judged as 'University of the year' a couple of years ago.
The curriculum is relevant and modern, with the Pharmacy and Biomedical Science degrees having full professional accreditation throughout the course, and there are close links with the recently established Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
In the last two years the School has undergone a £1 million refurbishment programme as part of our ongoing improvement activities and now features state of the art pharmacology and pharmacy practice teaching and research areas, with further substantial investment planned.
The school is located in the Cockcroft building of the Moulseccomb site, about 2 miles from the sea front, pier and Brighton city centre, with library, study and computing facilities catered for within the campus. As well as being one of the warmest and sunniest cities in the UK, Brighton is cosmopolitan, cultural and great fun.
