University of Derby (Pharmacy Academic Practice Unit)

Pharmacy at Derby is based in the Pharmacy Academic Practice Unit, where all our courses combine practice with education.
In our most recent quality assessment, we achieved 24 out of 24 from Government inspectors for our pharmacy courses, because they were innovative, current, fully supported and, above all, based in practice.
All of our pharmacy staff continue to submit to the government Research Assessment Exercise, with specific areas of study in: use of technology in teaching and learning, interface between GP prescribing and patients, domiciliary care, care of the elderly, analysis of Pharmacy policy and implementation.
