University of the Incarnate Word (Feik School of Pharmacy)

The advent of this new program is appropriate in the 125th year of the University's history of service to the South Texas community. The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) was founded in 1881 by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word with a mission of service and education. UIW is a private Catholic university bringing faculty and students together in a nurturing environment promoting life-long learning and fostering the development of the whole person.
The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredits Doctor of Pharmacy programs offered by Colleges and Schools of Pharmacy in the United States and selected non-US sites. For a Doctor of Pharmacy program offered by a new College or School of Pharmacy, ACPE accreditation generally involves three steps: Precandidate status, Candidate status, and Full accreditation.
