Expertise in basic and clinical pharmacology is no longer concentrated in discipline-based Departments but is distributed across all four of the Schools and in at least 6 of the Interdisciplinary Research Centres within the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, in the NHS and in the College of Science and Engineering. There are significant groupings of pharmacologists in:
The Centre for Neuroscience Research, The Centre for Cardiovascular Science, The Centre for Inflammation Research, The Centre for Reproductive Biology, The Centre for Integrative Physiology, The Cancer Research Centre, The Centre for Translational and Chemical Biology, Molecular Medicine Centre, The Scottish Poisons Information Bureau.
