Pharmacy career

Pharmacy is the health profession that connects the health sciences with the chemical sciences, and it is charged with making sure the safe and effective use of drug. The scope of pharmacy practice contains more usual functions such as compounding and providing medications, and it also incorporates more modern services related to patient care, including clinical services, reviewing medications for safety and efficacy, and providing drug information. Pharmacists, therefore, are the specialists on drug therapy and are the main health specialists who drug apply to give patients with positive health outcomes. Most pharmacists work in a community setting, such as a retail drugstore, or in a health care facility, such as a hospital, nursing home, mental health institution, or neighbourhood health clinic.

Many peoples of the world maintain the close association of drugs, medicine, and religion or devotion. Specialization first appeared early in the 9th century in the civilized world around Baghdad. It regularly extends to Europe as alchemy, finally evolving into chemistry as physicians began to desert beliefs that were not sure in the physical world. Physicians frequently both prepared and prescribed medicines; individual pharmacists not simply compounded instructions but pretend medicaments in volume lots for common sale. Not until well into the 19th century was the division between the pharmacist as a compounder of medicines and the physician as a psychotherapist usually accepted.
