The PCAT consists of 280-mulitple choice questions. The test is 4 1/2 hours long. There are six parts:

Quantitative Ability (58 items, 50 minutes)
- Geometry (20% of the questions)
- Algebra (20% of the questions)
- Probability & Statistics (10% of the questions)
- Pre-calculus (20% of the questions)
- Calculus (30% of the questions)
Chemistry (58 items, 35 minutes)
- General Chemistry (65% of the questions)
- Organic Chemistry (35% of the questions)
- Writing (1 writing topic, 30 minutes)
