Doctor of pharmacy

The Doctor of Pharmacy is a professional grade, not a graduate degree. It is given after two years of pre-pharmacy studies and four years of study in the professional program. Admission into the Pharm. D. program necessitates some previous college level study, but not a Bachelors degree. Though, while conclusion of other degree programs is not necessary for admission, it is not excluded.

Each year some learners join the Pharm. D. program after completing a Bachelors degree and in a not many cases, other professional degrees. Persons who have terminated a five-year BS in Pharmacy program may look for a Pharm. D. though the traditional program, but such persons frequently locate the non-traditional Pharm. D. Program better be appropriates their needs.

Admission to the Doctor of Pharmacy program will require conclusion of:
  • All prepharmacy courses
  • An appropriate grade point average
  • A completed PharmCAS application
  • Completion of the PCAT
  • A completed supplemental application and fee
  • A letter stating goals for the practice of pharmacy
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation
